I hold an acer 8216WLHi, and its good, but you should stir for an ASUS instead. here is one with an x1700 and 2.0ghz core 2 duo:

Given that that mechanism is selling for around $2800 in most places I'd enjoy to say no, not a soul knows where on earth you can get a laptop for 1000 bucks smaller quantity than it actually costs.
