Really, the with the sole purpose difference is the processor used. The 9005 uses a TL-50 @ 1.6 gh & 2x256 mb L2 cache; the 9009 uses the TL-52 @ 1.6 gh & 2x512 mb L2 cache. What this means surrounded by plain english is that the 9009 has a slightly faster processor; not contained by clock speed, but by virtue of the larger cache, it have "less of a wait for instructions".
