Acer travelmate shuts roughly?
Anyone can tell me why and any resolution?
Answer:
Sounds mostly similar to a heat issue to me.
How frail is this computer? There may be a lot of dust inside that could be gunking up the fan and causing it to overheat when the computer requests to think greatly.
Do people smoke around the computer? Smoke is by far a thousand times worse than dust.
How much RAM do you hold? Are you running too many programs within memory?
Does acer provide some way of running system or hardware diagnostics... it's really smaller number likely but it may be the processor itself that wants attention.
Does your laptop feel hotter than mundane?
It sounds like your laptop does not enjoy enough resources to make both operation (i.e. CD burning and zip a file). It might be your laptop does not have sufficient memory and/or CPU power. You can avoid the shutdown by single performing one operation at a time or you can boost your memory and CPU power. You can boost your memory by either increasing your virtual memory (free) or purchasing more RAM (not so free). As for the CPU power, you can overclock your CPU (free) or upgrade your CPU (not so free).
By the opening, if you hard drive is almost full after it is possible it can cause insufficient memory and shutdown the laptop.
