You probably aren't going to find a fresh laptop for less than 600-700 bucks, the best bet is to jump to Dell.com and look at their AMD based machines:

The underside model is $699, but it will do anything you need it to (unless you are a hardcore gamer).
yeah if you want a GOOD laptop it is not goin to be smaller amount than i would say 700 bucks....look online at close to bestbuy, comp usa, dell always have deals! step to yahoo shopping it shows all the stores that hold wahtever u r looking for....good luck...i only recently purchased a HP laptop from compusa....get a very dutiful deal for in the region of 1000....with rebate and stuff....
