for a laptop a 5400rpm give fair see ... 7200rpm is faster but uses alittle more battery .. u do not want 4600rpm its too slow... and 60+gigs is appropriate for a laptop, if u need more storage use an external drive .... for run into 1 gig is plenty for a laptop unless u enjoy a highend gaming laptop then u would want 2 gigs of strike ...
