My laptop overheats after 20-30 minutes but one and only when I'm using dial-up, not when I'm on broadband?

How do you know its overheating? And even at that, it should not be overheating if it have a proper cooling system. You need to procure something checked out.....maybe the dialup modem is over heat, i really dunno what else it could be.
There must be a problem with the internal modem. Try using an external one.
