How do I hook up my laptop to a projector?

You hook up the monitor to the external monitor port. You will obligation to activate it by hitting Fn (Function) and the number knob with a bit picture of a monitor on it. Otherwise, turn your laptop off, hook up the projector, turn laptop on, it'll make out it. No software necessary
No extra software. Your laptop will hold either a S-video out and/or a VGA out port. Use any of these to connect to the monitor. You then will call for to find the "export picture" button. Usually you need to hit the function push button, or "Fn" key, next to the export video key (which looks close to a monitor with an arrow pointing away from the screen) and skulk a few seconds since the video is sent to the projector, or you may need to restart the computer to get hold of it to work.
I use a toshiba satellite with my works projector as ably.
If the projector uses a USB then turn the projector on and the laptop on past connecting the projector to the PC.
plug the USB into your laptop. It will take a few moments for your computer to install the projector as a second monitor. Your projector should be set to "computer" or somthing of that sort.
If the projector doesn't show up but, reboot the PC keeping the projector on.

Lol that's not a childish question. I hear stuff close to that every day.
Just plug the projector contained by using whatever cord u want. (i.e., anything fits into both holes). If your laptop doesn't automatically realize the projector is there, after just hit the "Fn" switch, and whatever knob you use to switch monitor outputs. (Usually this key is represented by two little rectangles seperated by a slash.)
