Mac books are the bomb. They are not that hard to bring back used to, they are a little different than window based systems but if you are acquainted with window you can lean it pretty fast. They own less issues than window based systems and they own less virus problems. For arts school they are awesome.
I highly recommend!
Apple generate a lot of hype nearly the "virus proof" mac book, there are much a reduced amount of viruses BUT they do exist macroviruses can and do eradicate macs and pc's.
Spyware depends on your web browser NOT your OS.
Macs own a very small scale of third party software (games/CAD/etc).
The mas OSX is not more stable than window, windows and macs will occasionally crash but on a PC 90% of the time it is due to inadequately coded third party software on a mac 90% of the time its due to the OSX as near is so little third party software.
Some relatives like macs more those like pc's but travel to the nearest apple store and play around with one you may similar to it!
i used a pc for years beforehand switching to a mac last year. what kept me from switching closer was the perception that learning the latest operating system would be too much of a hassle. i got used to it within a matter of days, perchance a week. most commands are impressively similar, except the apple key replaces ctrl and alt contained by many cases. i use a macbook and i am highly satisfied. if you are looking to do rudimentary every-day stuff then a macbook is unfaultable. if you want to run photoshop or something like that at full tilt, you'll want a macbook pro. the macbook pro is a pretty good bit more $$ so if money is no substitute, go for the macbook pro.
