Getting a laptop and dont know whether to achieve one next to an AMD Turion X2 Dual Core or an Intel Duo Processor...

The AMD Turion X 2 is not as good as the Core 2 duo but pretty close and it sell at a big discount so it is strictly a matter of budget.
Right immediately, Intel has the fringe as far as performance is concerned.
But, Intel is also more expensive.
It is really easier said than done to compare either of those laptops that you associated to. Each of them have too plentiful options, beside no price listing for those option.
I would just find out what the price is for two similarly equipped version, select one step higher contained by CPU clock speed for the AMD to make up for the observation difference, then buy the one specifically cheaper.
