Vista is pretty cool even witout Glass. Are you freshly looking? Look at a friends pc beside Vista.
If you are serious, do the Microsoft "upgrade advisor" and it will tell you what you call for.
Going trough the trouble now, I'd shift with the full Vista, not RC2. It would be a debris of time.
