Ultraportable laptops: how defining is it to enjoy the CD/DVD drive built surrounded by (as unwilling an external USB)?

Do you miss not have it built in?

Answer:
have it built in is required for games (and movies) since they necessitate constant access to the drive and a high constant verbs rate which USB can't keep up, but for everything else it doesn't really concern.

But if you need to lug around an external drive, consequently that defeats the purpose of 'ultra' portable, doesn't it?
its pretty high-status imo .. whats ultra portable about humping around an external drive ... and u never know when you'll call for one to read somthing or save somthing ..
It depends on how commonly you use the CD/DVD drive.

If you're going to use it frequently (say to listen to music or watch DVD movies), you necessitate it built in. If you're lately going to use it to back up background and install software, no big deal.
