its any your computer's monitor...bring it to a service center or your windows enjoy crashed. just reload window program.

What exactly is your question? Do you not later go to your desktop after the blank eyeshade?
There must be something wrong with the actual operating system, I presume. Its happened to me beforehand. Try restarting and troubleshooting. If that doesnt work try getting through to someone.
Or just take it checked out. Btw what happened to me- I have to get the total system rebooted leaving adjectives my files deleted. Hope that dont crop up to you. GoodLuck.
ok since u have a 98, when the blind goes black it vehicle its loading! but since u have a 98 it will lift forever to load so hold some patience. bar that u need to bring it within to a repair shop
try starting windows surrounded by safe mode
1. reset the computer & press & hold F8 previously "starting windows 98" appears" after choose safe mode"
It could be that the video driver is incorrectly setup. Suggest to re-install Win98 if you hold the original disc beside you.
