If yes, will the installation of Vista eat up my memory?

Answer:
You hold a very nice piece of hardware lucky you.
You enjoy 2 choices, you can use Apples Bootcamp, which allows you to create a partition on your harddrive seperate from your OSX files where on earth it will install Vista. Once installed you can choose at boot time whether to boot into OSX or Vista. This option doesn't bear any memory, because when it is rebooted back into OSX the memory is cleared. It does require Hard Drive space to store Vista and your window applications on, but with your system you hold plenty of space.
The Second option is Virtualization, running 1 operating system ontop of another. With software from Parallels or VMware you are competent to install Vista into a Virtual Machine and run it inside of a window while running OSX. This preference is slower, and does share the memory with OSX, so if you are using memory heavily built applications it will be slower then using bootcamp.
I recommend using Bootcamp as it will act better and will be less confusing for you overall.
Honestly...Yes it can run on MAC...and Yes it will use up alot of memory.
