Why does my laptop hold on to overheating...or is it overheating??

Most motherboards will trigger an alarm when they get too hot, so it doesn't nouns like overheating to me.
Blue screen and restarts are most often cause by faulty hardware or bleak drivers. I had a Gateway that have a restarting problem, and the issue turned out to be a short that caused low voltage from the power supply. The component would detect the problem and automatically restart.
The other main produce of restarts is driver problems. Make sure all your drivers are up to date.
If your problem isn't drivers and your laptop is still lower than warranty, you should definitely contact Gateway. Their track copy on quality isn't tremendously good and it is their responsibility to fix the inexact unit.
The blue blind means that in attendance is something major scheduled with it. Return it for a bright one.
Take it back presently. This is not supposed to happen.
If you hold in on a bed or someplace where on earth the fan ports may be blocked this can evolve.

if you have your laptop lying on clothing like formless pants, etc. your computer may not be getting satisfactory air flow to the electical componets, you should try setting it on a book, or a binder, approaching i am doing now, my computer dosent do that but it does slow means of access down, until it cools down., i also listen to media player while doing stuff, close to reading email, etc, and it slows down, i got one of those cooling mat and that helped alot.

do you hold it plugged in? could be an issue near your battery nouns, and running multiple programs could be causing the power to drop out.
an overheat situation usually impact the video card first, and the computer would tend to freeze up rather than shut down. your issue is probably related to power. check the freestyle, plug it in, and if you still hold problems contact gateway.... you might have a unpromising power module, and they should replace it if it is that new.
Well,i have a very similar problem near my own laptop,my laptop kept restarting randomly but i cleaned the atmosphere flows and it was ok after that,but you said u enjoy had your laptop for solely a week,it pretty imposible that the air flows own been blocked up contained by a such short time. The blue screen im afraid indicates that you hold a serious problem within the operating system. Probably drivers but it could also be hardware mulfuction cause this to happen. Take it posterior as soon as possible and get it sorted out.
