Answer:
My brother a short time ago got an HP dv9000 series and here was a plastic cut into cover on it. Maybe this is what is making it look cheap plastic? If you bought it new, I would occasion to say this is the baggage, if you bought it refurbished, then perchance the company swapped parts on it.
Like the plastic scratch covers that come on cell phones and digital cameras, you can remove this, did you try this? Or be in motion straight to RunQA?
Take your complaint to the seller and explain the situation to them.
Though it is subdivision of that series, that does not mean every notebook from that series will own the same features, yours may own been different from the one that show contained by being the the trailer. Typically, the one they list is the one near all the features top of the string, where yours may singular have piece of those available features.

what's inside (the specs) counts more but if it bothers you that much then sermon to the seller & replace it.
Match the Model number on the computer next to receipt you get when purchased it and if it does not match consequently call the merchant and emergency a resolution. If no satisfaction in that contact HP and if he is an authorized seller HP should know how to intervene. Your right on the overview description but description names are not other a real method of describing something. I would think adjectives this means is that the HP sign is imprinted within the case.
