I enjoy Toshiba usb2.0 2.5HD external, my HD was working fine till yesterday. I have to do a system restore for my hp dv4017AP laptop yesterday and unfortunately my external HD be connected with my Laptop. immediately if I connect my HD with my PC or laptop I can't see the HD anywhere, even surrounded by my computer. at the bottom right hand a risk-free removal I-con comes on. I have tried surrounded by different computer, still same problem. tried to update the driver, checked if there is any problem beside USB drive or connection, everything working fine but not sufficiently expert to view the HD. can you minister to lease

When you plug the HD in, do you bring back the Ba-ding sound?
If YES, right click My computer, have power over, disk management.
In the bottom right eyeshade, right click on the USB drive, and change the drive dispatch.
IF No, you will need to install some system drivers from HP. Check you computer for ashen !. Right click My computer, Properties, Hardware, Device Manager.
Look for yellow ! and afterwards goto the HP website, and download all drivers not loaded for your computer.
Also, try a differnt USB cable.
