First a crash course on partition: Even though your computer may have individual one hard drive, it may own been configured surrounded by a way, when Windows be installed, so that it would actually report itself to Windows as two drives. These "virtual drives" are particular as partitions. One of the partition is designated as the master, or primary partition, and to be exact the one that gets the C: designation contained by Windows. The other partitions, particular as extended partitions, will grasp other letters surrounded by Windows depending on other actual, or physical drives in the computer, including CD/DVD drives, USB thumb drives, etc.
Now that we know give or take a few partitions, there's a free program call Partition Logic that you can download (works just similar to Partition Magic, except that its free) that will let you tinker beside the partitioning on your hard drive in need erasing the primary partition. The individual other thing to consider here is that since you're looking to remove the extended wall and allocate its space to the primary partition (in Windows as the C: drive), you may lose the information on that extended screen -- the software's documentation would better explain more details on that. Anyway, you should back the contents of the extended separator up to a DVD or another computer temporarily before you start to vary the partitioning of the drive, just contained by case.

The one and only way to do explicitly to de-partition your drive and set them as one drive. The problem with that is to say that it will delete all information on your drives and you will hold to reload it. If you create a restore cd I believe you can recover from it after departitioning.

I am not sure but my guess would be to get hold of into the system and if it allows to add to c: add on to it. I am not sure about the d: but I do know you can supply more space to the c: I have have the prompt before. GL
You cannot do this lacking re-partitioning your hard drive and re-formatting it. This will logically delete all of your facts. If it really bugs you, you may look for a third part software call Partition Magic. Good Luck!
Best not to. If you add anything tag on it to D: they are both actually alike drive but it has 2 partition on it. Playing with partition can be instant death to your system.
you cant whip away from another drive. The drives can download as much as the computer can hold. It dosent matter which drive you use.
Use software call partition illusion, resize D: drive shrink it to the size you want , you create UN allocated space then re size drive C: create it larger by adding the current space you created to it. you do all of that if you do not want to loose information, bu if it is OK to loose data delete both partition then receive new partition the size you want and install windows.
You could use a disk command utility such as Partition Magic.
