My touchpad on my laptop isnt working properly, how do i fix it?

my touchpad works to move the mouse, but it isn't working to scroll up and down on high webpages like it usually does-i dont assume i did anything to change it. I enjoy an hp pavillion with microsoft medium center. help!?

check settings
reinstall software and/or drivers for the touchpad
I DONT NO BUT YOU COULD GO TO WWW.YAHOO.COM AND SEARCH FOR COMPUTER HELP LINES
right click on the mouse wipe icon on the bottom right subsequent to the clock and adjust the settings

also sometimes the scroll doesnt work on some pages even next to a regular scroll wheel mouse
