It is a power/current adapter, you can buy contained by a kit for multiple useage at any computer store such as Cicuit City,Best Buy,Fry's Electronics.
It's call an auto/air DC adapter. I have this one by Targus http://www.targus.com/us/product_details... and it's great. I've hear that an AC/DC adapter now exists, which would be great. The lone problem is that not all of the airlines hold the inflight power system.
