I own a Toshiba Satellite M40 laptop. Does this model own DDR1 or DDR2 of RAM?
Answer:
Don't depend on RunQA for these question. The only reliable answer will be from Toshiba's tech support, so phone up them and ask, or try to go their website and look your computer up and see if it say which it is in the specs.
Instead of asking and getting wrong answers you better do
Right click on My computer god
Click Property
System Property window will be open
Click Hardware tab
Below you will find Device Manager tab click on it
By this way you can find deeply of information just click and check
or Even You could find that detail I guess by
Right Click My Computer's god
the click on property
System property will be opened and you could see some of your notebook info their.
I hope this will help you.

it should be ddr PC2700 SODIMM

Satellite Pro M40 - Takes DDR2 533
Satellite M40 - Takes DDR PC2700
first sour it is called ddr knock against not ddr1 just because within is ddr2 doesnt make it dd1 on further make a note of you have straight up ddr sdram you can use pc2100 or pc2700 but 2700 is cheaper it is newer also but it is cheaper because more of it is produced, simple supply and constraint that is adjectives it is
