How do you kind a cent sign within Microsoft Word, on a DELL laptop?

I tried "ALT" and "0162". Nothing! Then I tried "ALT" and the plus sign followed by the "0162". Still nil. Even under symbols, I couldn't find it.

Answer:
The knotty part here is laptop baby grand. You need to use the equivalent of numeric keypad on regular keyboard--translated onto laptop at blue numbers access by fn key.

So try this: hold down Fn and Alt. While you hold those, type 0162 beside the blue numbers. Then release Fn and Alt, and at that point the symbol should appear.
There is a character map on your computer. You can use it as in good health. Go to Start, All Programs, Accessories, System Tools, Character Map
You need to **hold down** the ALT push button while you're keying surrounded by the numbers 0162. Make sure you include the leading nil. Also, you don't need to push button in the plus sign at adjectives.
Hehe you are doing close to the right thing:

Press and hold the alt knob.

Now type in 0162 ON YOUR KEYPAD. It individual works with the numbers on the keypad...
you can not use the knob board short cuts on a laptop. You can only enter the shortcut near the 10 key member of the key board. They don't work near the row of numbers
on a laptop you have to hold down the Fn push button and use the numbers in blue on your upright so a c is
ALT+Fn+mjok
By blue is worn off from typing, but the key are as follows
m=0
j=1
k=2
l=3
u=4
i=5
o=6
7=7
8=8
9=9
p=*
0=/
Its easier to use the character map, follow this join for instructions.

(C) will change it automatically
Open your Word document and put your cursor where on earth you want the cent symbol to be.

At the top of your Word document click on Insert and then on Symbol.

Click on the Symbols tab at the top of the symbol pane.
Use the Subset dropdown menu and select Currency Symbols.
Select the font style you want in the Font box by using it's dropdown menu.

Lots of symbols here. All that you will probably ever want. You a moment ago have to become somewhat used to with what is in attendance for you to use.

Hope this helps.
