I want to switch my firm drive from my broken vaio into an frail hp. the drive fits but how do i win it to work.

I have my vaio for less than 3 months when condensation blew the motherboard, Sony want $250 more than I salaried for the notebook to repair it. Can I take the rugged drive and put it into an older hp for one it is twice the size and I enjoy software I have rewarded for on there and still use the facts or do i have to utter goodbye to it all.

Answer:
You can pilfer the hard drive as long as they share like connector type. The new type is SATA, and it is not compatible beside the older IDE connector format surrounded by a laptop.

Hope this helps,
Ken
