Is anyone a whiz on a mac book pro???

My computer wont burn discs- if you insert the audio cd contained by itunes, select the playlist and click burn disc it says "checking medium..." for a few seconds next says "insert blank disc" and eject the disc. The reason this is odd is because all the discs i own tried ARE blank! What should i do??? please help!

Can you burn other types of disks (data) ?

If so, we can destroy the CD-Rom drive as the cause.

Are the blank disks the correct type? You have need of plain old blank CDRs, not CD-RW or even the expensive "audio" CDs, although those usually work.

For perfect measure, I would restart the computer. Then try burning your playlist on a plain vanilla blank CDR from a different load than the ones you've already tried.
