I own a 4 month old-fashioned Gateway NX570S. The cord will not charge the comp anymore. Why??
Answer:
I would check the voltage on the charger. It's pretty simple to do with a cheap voltmeter. Or whip it to Radio Shack or batteries Plus and they can check to see if it have proper voltage. If that is well brought-up, pull the mobile out and inspect it for damage. Putting it put money on in might simply get the pins creased up right again. If both things fail to resolve your problem contact Gateway. There be a time not to long ago when there be a rash of bleak batteries you might own gotten one that slipped through the cracks. The battery lifetime is usually 2 years if maintain properly.
try reseating the battery ... and try to run the appliance with the cord one and only and no battery installed ... if the mechanism doesnt work with the mobile out it could be the charger that failed ... but yes, a freestyle could fail precipitate ...
no way. it probably have something to do with your charger. did you drop the charger or something. you may necessitate to contact gateway and buy a new charger. hope this help.
If DZE's idea doesn't work, it could be that the power supply go bad. If that happen to be the case, you won't be capable of even run the computer with it plugged contained by. If the computer is only four months elderly, then the power supply should still be covered below warranty.
If it turns out to be a that the battery is malfunctioning, that should also be covered.
Hopefully DZE hit the nail on the skipper. If not, get on the phone near Gateway, and get yourself some different parts!
Either your cord has a short (doubtful) or a charging capacitor is shot contained by your computer, sorry to be the one to clue you. Oh, some countries have varying electrical current. In that grip your charger is smoked.
