Bad Mo Bo... it soulds as if the logic Board (Mo Bo) have micro fractuers in it..or a bleak sodder did you deop it or did it get impacted prior to this? or a juice spill?

Acers are not the best quality.
This doesn't necessarily be set to there is a hardware problem. I have a crackling sound coming through my nouns card for a long time. The built in nouns card was a soundmax. I fixed it by updating the drivers. I know the laptop be purchased in January, but the drivers could be much elder than that. I would recommend finding out the make/model of your sound and visit the manufacturer's website for updated drivers. Don't bother visiting the acer website as the driver portion located at http://www.acerpanam.com/ looks similar to it was just half finished and it doesn't work.
