HP Pavilion Laptop System Recovery after I've done an Fdisk?

I needed a clean install. I booted next to the recovery disk (win xp) and it suggested (or required, I don't remember) an Fdisk, which I did. Now, when I boot next to the recovery disk, I gain an error to the effect that "the disk is for use on a pavilion only. If you hold a pavilion call HP." I've emailed HP and they don't come across to get it.

Answer:

im not sure which version of Pavilion you hold mine you do a Recovery from startup by pressing F10 and it walks you thru the undamaged the thing. theres no compact disc needed. but what you should do is format and start fresh again if you are having a problem, the format route is on the Cd, boot from the Cd and go to the repair route from there it will bring you to DOS afterwards type format and start fresh from there
