Seatools not finding my harddrive....What to do?
The harddrive is a Seagate and I enjoy downloaded Seatools and burned it on a CD. But every time i try to run it Seatools cannot find my harddrive.
I seize the message "No Hard Drives found". Then I have to quit program. After it closes I receive the following message: "(Seagate boot) Error reading from drive A: DOS area : write-protection defilement attempted"
Why doesn't Seatools find my drive? What can I do about it?

You can't do anything more or less it. Your hard drive is failing and it's not going to carry any better. Seatools was not designed to fix impossible hard drives, one and only to determine if they are bad or not. (OK, once surrounded by a while they can fix some minor problems) You do not have a minor problem.
My suggestion is to STOP using the drive without hesitation and take it surrounded by to a computer shop for a new strong drive and data verbs. If you have Norton Ghost you can verbs it yourself, but I'm guessing that you don't.
If you keep using the drive eventually it will go wrong completely and you won't get any facts off of it EVER.
