Which laptop that you know of is really right, last pretty long, and doesn't cost too much??

see my situation is that i'm going to a topical school and this year will be my freshman year. its mandatory to own a laptop starting 9th grade. but the piece is i'm going to disney next month and in attendance is no extra money for a new laptop. i'd own to use my dad's, which is toooooo slow for schoolwork, its takes so long merely to open a wallet, not to mention the keys are falling bad... so please recommend a nice laptop tat isn't too expensive to see if i can actually attain it so i don't have to use my dad's.

Dell Latitude D630 - Core 2 Duo T7100 1.8 GHz - 14.1" TFT is a nice one that costs 7-9 hundred in your secemstance I would shift with someting resembling the IMB its made in alstraila but nice not to brawny pretty good storage ( if you want more storage you can attain chips to just hold any info) for 399$ you could prolly find it for smaller quantity thought
