I enjoy a macbook with the stock Matshita-uj857 DVD drive. After a couple months of owning this computer, the drive stopped reading and writing discs at 4x and will presently ONLY read and write at 1x!! It is so very slow, and I cannot find the motivation for this problem. Its not just one program any - all forms of reading and writing to DVDs will not exceed 1x. Can anyone help out?

well is it going slow or too nippy if its going to fast next return if it is going to slow then press speed on the remote
