I don't know what collateral has to do next to drive D working or not but in my computer you should own hard disk drives and devices beside removable storage. Your d drive should show in the removable storage segment.

If it doesn't show then window is not finding it. If it showed before after maybe you a short time ago need to reboot. If it is a unknown installation then probably you need to install a driver for it and that should be contained by your computer set up disks.

What shoud come up when you click on drive d is a message saying asking you to insert a disk contained by drive d.
