macs dnt suck.
Macs are used for Video Production, Music Production, and almost any other thing you could possibly cogitate of! Companies like Pixar use Macs contained by the production of movies, such as Finding Nemo. Severl newspaper companies use Macs for production.
Macs can also be used for literary purposes.
Macs don't "suck", only unapprised users that have no clue what they're doing "suck".
Funny, most of the worlds scientists, engineers and developers use 'em...and they don't hold any problem. It runs on a FreeBSD Unix background, making it the most usable Unix system on Earth. You might want to draw from a clue as to what you're talking going on for.

Trust me, I know more about computers than you're ever going to know. Saying PC's can do "so much more" purely reveals your newbie ignorance. Windows can be loaded onto a Mac if one wishes. Who cares roughly gaming...it's for kids...adults (as well as the masses) spectator sport using consoles.gaming is the ONLY thing Windows is angelic for...and it's not due to Windows itself, it's because developers don't make heaps games for OS X. Who cares whether Safari is honest or not, you have plenty of browser choices.
Engineers do use Apple's, I am one...I don't hold to look it up. Take a look at a NASA control room sometime.

Treating a Mac is abundantly different than treating a Windows computer and the situation varies.
In my grip, I had an ibook and that crap happen to me so much, it pissed me off, but when I switched to an intel iMac, things go better, but mine was singular 1 GB of RAM
Sometimes, what you said happens. If it freezes, it usually comes backbone to life and you freshly have to hang around, whether it is an application, or everything, and it usually ends up fine. Another thing that cause it is if you use up a lot of rock-hard disk space or do to much stuff, it will crash.
If these don't apply, the problem with your mac could be serious and you requirement something to fix it. There are some out there that I use that fix my computer and it doesn't deed like that (I recommend Onyx, which will give support to clear some things without detrimental your computer, and makes it work faster depending on how you want it to work). Do adjectives this and your mac should be fine.

stultz_is are you SURE it wasn't HP that help? or was that shrek? i forget... i fundamentally much doubt they would use it for rendering.. they have rendering farms/servers 1000ths of more times powerful than a bog standard computers, also using custom tools... and even linux I don`t know =) also silicon graphics perhaps =)
i do dislike apple for reason
1) buying emagic and making logic mac only
2) final cut pro - great program, shame i won't buy a mac to use it. basically go to a friends house and use his mac.
cubase / defence fixed that problem and they are dual format..
as for video, not got that far even so.. but i'm sure there is equivelents , something which is pretty perfect.
notice mac have gone intel based...
those tell me "no virus on mac" well sorry gals/guys if in attendance wasn't WHY have anti virus on it ;-)
i used both and also fixed mac's for a long time for a living, but i'm not so bothered in the region of design to buy a mac, its a box, how it looks is no bother to me.. how it works is the main item.
argue about it adjectives you want, but well respectively has its merits.
the one article that does annoy me is every one goes on something like steve jobs... all the same forget this guy who was impressive in apple's history.
