Is near anything I can do to fix my inspiron 6000 dell laptop?
A dos approaching screen appears and it asks me to choose an substitute, which the only one is the C:/windows (or something resembling that). So I chose it and then it asks for the administrative password. I enter it, but it say the password is invalid... So any help would be greatful, gratitude.
-The CD I'm using is the Operating System compact disc
'reinstallation CD Microsoft window xp home edition service pack 2'
-Three other cds came beside it, drivers and utilities, then 2 applications cds.

hi,
you didn't read out why you need to reload window but I figured out your XP may enjoy been corrupted.
Steps to reload XP
1/ turn on you PC and generate sure you can boot from CD, which I focus your PC already can.
2/ when you see the first "repair" option a short time ago press enter key. This likelihood only for expert who know how to turn on/off services etc to troubleshoot XP probs.
3/ If will ask you to agree to the EULA by press F8 simply do that
4/ then it will endow with you other "repair" option near other option close to install a new copy od XP etc. Just press the r push button. and with a bit of luck you should competent to do a repair install of your XP.
4/ After the XP is reloaded run the source and drive CD. net sure you install your notebook chipset drive B4 you install any other drivers. When in doubt ring up Dell.

if you are using the cd thaty come with your computer adjectives u have to do is tolerate the computer boot from the cd and reinstall windows and later you use the other cd to reinstall everything else
