Can i upgrade?

Hi,

I hold got the toshiba satilite pro a100 beside duo core and finger print reader with1024 ram and 80gb and runs near !!!1.73 ghz!!! ( slow huh)
Is it possible to upgrade to 2ghz or 3ghz and will it cost alot

Answer:
Tricky with a laptop, fist you have need of to open it up (lots of screw and panels to remove) and see if it is possible to silver the processor also what type of slot it is. Take a look through http://repair4laptop.org/disassembly_tos... it doesn't have your specific model but would donate an idea as to what is essential.

If it is possible it should just be a satchel of replacing the processor with a compatible processor.

One item to bear contained by mind is that faster processors produce more heat so your laptop may warmness up more if the cooling isn't up to the job.

i would suggest getting as much strike as possible first to see if that improves things
It's more than satisfactory for a laptop, you really don't need more, trust me. It's not worth to upgrade and i'm not sure it's possible, as you mainboard might not support any faster processors. Go beside this, it's very polite

a little stealthy: AMD processors have far smaller quantity MHz than intel's (e.g. a Sempron 3100 runs at 1,8 ghz and is far better than a pentiun 4 at 3 GHZ)
yes its possible and in answer to the cost, permit me just detail you the processor is the most expensive part of a computer.
