Buy one off of ebay. You can find really cheap used laptops that are surrounded by good shape past its sell-by date of ebay. I have see pentium 3's sell surrounded by the $150-250 price range. The pentium 4's budge for $350 - $2,000+. depending on what is on the laptop.
I have gotten four from Craigslist. The one I am using one be only three months ripened, all I have to do was replace the blind. My son's was solely $50 and it has JBL speakers that he is driving me crazy next to (sic)!!!!
I would go next to tigerdirect or newegg. Newegg ships faster, I think. Are you planning on getting the labtop fixed? If you are, you could go and get it fixed in underneath 2 weeks, if not I would spend rather more and get something clad. Labtops are hard to upgrade.
Check out the online Walmart website. They own some awesome deals and some excellent computers.
