How can i troubleshoot my laptop display?
Answer:
Right click on an clear area of the desktop (not an icon). not here click Properties. Click on Settings Tab. Move Screen Resolution slider to highest setting you monitor can display. Click on Advanced option. Apply new settings minus restarting (saves time). If you can't see anything on the screen, revert to productive settings, or wait 20 second for the laptop to revert automatically. When you find the right resolution, save it.
while nearby, check and save the right monitor and adapter settings.
Good luck.

No LED No Display
If Customer says in that is no display on the screen, confirm whether he is competent to see the Black & White Compaq Logo (No more Red Compaq Logo in hottest Models) while booting. If he says no, check whether the Led is blinking or not. If it blinks, execute power drain steps. Because, this issue could be due to any charge that is gone in the notebook capacitors. To check this, please try performing Power drain process.
Here are the steps to make a Power Drain Procedure:
1. Disconnect the AC Adapter.
2. Remove the Battery.
3. Hold the Power button down for 30 seconds to 1 minute.
4. Reconnect the AC adapter; do not connect the mobile now.
5. Turn on the Notebook power.
The above process will discharge the charge that is to say left within the Notebook which could cause this issue.
If that too fail to work, then you may check near an external monitor. This is to confirm whether the issue is with the Display Panel or the Mother Board or Other Components.
If the Notebook is completely late and neither there is display nor the lead blinks, then it might be a hardware damp squib. In this case, you may suggest the customer to contact ASP, if the NB is lower than warranty; arrange a mail-in repair service.
Dead pixels on Display panel
According to HP Pixel policy, the following numbers of defective pixels are allowed:
Bright sub-pixel defects: 3 maximum
Dark sub-pixel defect: 5 maximum
Total combined bright and dark sub-pixel defect: 5 maximum
If the NB in press has the defective pixels lower than the above mentioned number, next explain the Customer, it is normal, and at hand is no need of replacement for that.
