Blank eyeshade, problem next to the inverter or the backlight?

I own a compaq presario R3000, the screen go blank after a year and a month of less than regular usage (talk going on for crappy technology). All at once, the screen be perfectly black, one could singular see 5 vertical thin white lines transmitting the subdivision of the display, rebooting fixed the problem. The next hours of daylight, the screen be pitch black and no image ever come back. The computer works without a flaw on an external screen... Every backlight problem described involve seeing dimly or section of the display so I don't really suspect this is the case here. I open up the case and the inverter looks pretty well brought-up. What could be the problem then?

Answer:
The external monitor works OK, so the video card is surrounded by good shape. The monitor cable could be crimped surrounded by the hinges or broken altogether. Consult the website below for disassembly instructions on your laptop. If the ribbon cable is cracked or torn, the monitor wishes to be replaced as it is an integrated part, and is impossible to resolder minus damaging components.

To trial the backlight, use a flashlight. Anything that looks like your ordinary desktop indicates the backlight died. Unfortunately, the backlight and monitor are one piece, so they also need to be replaced together. check the prices online to determine whether it is worth fixing or upgrading.
It's possible the nouns for the display that plugs into the motherboard has come loose. I own seen it a few times beside our laptops at work. One in cross-examine came from the factory unplugged.
If your computer is packed up properly while you are working on it, it could be a problem with device drivers, hardware or software.
