My Dell Latitude Laptop started shutting itself down whenever Internet nouns is detected. Why?

My Dell Latitude Laptop, running Windows 2000, started to shut itself down as soon as it detects the internet nouns. This connection can be from wireless or ethernet. If I boot my laptop beside the wireless router disabled or my ethernet disconnected, I can start my computer and access files normally, but no outside connections are possible. As soon as I plug surrounded by the ethernet or activate the wireless router the mechanism shuts itself off. If the internet nouns is enabled on boot up the machine shuts itself stale or attempts to continue rebooting itself. Has anyone ever hear of a problem like this? What could be cause this?

Get a Mac. Windows-based computers are crappy
Try downloading Spybot Search and Destroy from the following link. it's http://www.spybot.com after run it in risk-free mode
I can not identify the exact cause. But in that is one solution, and that is to reinstall window
Have you installed SP2?
If not have you caught the MSBlast worm or equivilent?

Just see running Windows 2000 and not XP.
It doesn't want you on the Internet otherwise you can find something to kill it. The most sensible piece to do would be a clean install of XP/2000 from an OEM disc and 2000 switch is on the reverse of the PC. There are unused, sealed XP Pro OEM pack on ebay sometimes with unused knob. Then that key would simply be used on this PC. Make sure packs own never been used for that root.

Kill it ASAP incase it has something obnoxious instore for a specific date like April 1 or Dec 25. You also don't want it infecting other devices resembling USB flash sticks etc.
That's why I'd boot a cd, wipe it and install Windows clean.
Dude..you get a Dell....
reload your computer to get rid of the virus
