Is within a road to go and get the information rotten a unyielding drive? -without the computer it's from?

Hi. My laptop broke and I took the complicated drive out of it to save the decisive information that was on within. I bought a new laptop but immediately realize I have to wipe my older hard drive to use it within the new one.

Do I own to wipe it or is there a track I can transfer that information to another location first? Thanks.

Answer:
Get a USB Enclosure for your old laptop's not easy drive. Just plug it in, and it appears on your brand new system as a removable drive.

Rosewill RX250-U Aluminum 2.5" USB 2.0 External Enclosure with One Touch Backup function $7.99

KINGWIN KH-200U-S Aluminum 2.5" USB 2.0 External Enclosure $11.59

Good luck and Happy Computing!
If it's the exact same model of laptop, you can a short time ago put the drive in and it will work like as before. If not, you can hook it up through a USB adapter and take hold of whatever info you stipulation off of it.
if you own a desktop buy one of theses http://www.buy.com/retail/product.asp?sk...
consequently transfter the data over to the desktop afterwards burn what you want on a dvdr or a cdr
Now if the old laptop's harddrive crashed, in attendance has to be a idea for it, was it defective, did it crashed because of soft damage? driver conflict etc.. If it crashed because of powered issues then we know it wont work if you swapped the harddrive into the newer model and probability are the new model wont wont next to the old harddrive anyways because the drivers or hardware running on the unit wont be the same unless you established to buy the same exact computer, that would be unnatural.

Moving along, to extract the files on the drive, go to a retail store, buy an external harddrive stall, put the old harddrive within the enclosure and in a minute you have an external USB drive. Plug it into your laptop and it would come up close to a regular external driver. Browse through it and extract whatever files you neede.

There you stir. Have fun:)
Yes. There is no need to wipe your complex drive you can place the hard drive into another computer (in the slave mode (look at the drive it will own a switch or a jumper to see this mode)) and use it as an alternate data source from the information. Be slightly discreet to select a like background storage system (ie - Apple use Mac; Window use NTFS or FAT 32). Once it is installed as a slave, you may leave the facts where it is or write it to any disc storage, a jump drive or a DVD depending on what is available on your tentative computer.
