I hold tried to use a number of discs on my compaq presario laptop (driving tuition, games etc) but when I put them it it sounds similar to they're loading up but then nought happens. It doesn't start up and I can't find it when I try to within search or run. please lend a hand it really frustrating. Tried to get it surrounded by the help selection but don't know what I'm asking. Basically I can't use any disc games or anything.

go into where on earth it says my comp and right click on { e } drive jump to properties and see if it full . mines full and does them same thing as yours. if it is youll necessitate too write them on a disk youll see a round disk if its shaded in its full.
Maybe you should achieve a new CD-rom Drive.
