My CD/DVD Rom surrounded by my Sony Vaio notebook died and I am in stipulation of a replacement. The model according to the underside of my laptop says that it is a PCG-6B1L. Looking online, I can't really find much roughly this model (Im assuming its older?) So looking on Ebay and other places, I am have a hard time finding anything for that specific model. Is anyone habituated with this model, or are near other DVD drives that could be compatible with this model? Thanks.

OK, I couldn't find anything much online for that model any. Find out the model of the drive, and google that. You may find it is easier to find a replacement for than searching underneath the model number of the computer.
We have a computer shop contained by our hometown that updates and repairs computers and sells used computers... they are VERY fine. It costs more than doing it yourself, but not much at all. You may find a place approaching that to be a great way to be in motion as well! Places approaching best buy are so expensive, I would never go to them for repairs.
