How can I increase the size of my PC RAM?

I own a PC and would love to install windows Vista but be told that I do need to hold a ram size of up to 1 GB, my RAM currently is almost 896 MB. Is there a agency I can have the size increased to IGB or more for free. Please I would close to to hear from an expert on this issue. Thanks for your time.

Answer:
You cannot increase your RAM for free unless someone gives you a 1 see memory module to put in your computer. I would pause to upgrade to vista as it is currently going thru multiple issues.
in control panel / system - goto credit performance and increase vertual memory size ; unless if your memory not a physical knock against
You already have 1GB of memory, simply part of it are used for your video memory, so if the rest of the computer meet the Vista spec, you can install Vista.

Word of warning, I see so many similar to you who are technology chasing, but end up surrounded by tears, Vista is nothing more than XP beside fancy graphics and in doing so, created a huge and sturdy system that more powerful hardware are needed just to do impossible to tell apart as XP
