How do I find out what type/make of graphics card I hold?

I own a Sony VAIO FS series laptop which is about 6 months feeble. Two games (Medieval Total War and Oblivion) I have basically tried to install will not work and I think it might be my graphics card which is at responsibility. How do I find out what type of card I have so I can find out if specifically the problem?

Answer:
Right click on the desktop, when the menu pops up, click Properties. When the window open, click the Settings tab. The info you want is about in the middle down, on the left above the resolution slider.

However:

The graphics surrounded by a laptop are integrated with the motherboard. If it is the graphics at show disapproval (it probably is), you cannot simply swap out a card. Unfortunately, many of the games on today's marketplace do not support a laptop configuration and should state that on the packaging.
On the desktop blind, right click and the display option should be here. Try it.
Right click a blank area on you desktop, click on properties, click on the Settings tab afterwards on Advanced and finally on the Adaptor type.
Go on the net and download a FREE program call Belarc Advisor, this program will tell you adjectives the components of your computer plus all the programs that are installed on your PC.
right click on my computer, turn to properties and click on device manager and you should find it near.
