How repeatedly should I shut down my vista laptop?

I regard you reboot XP and below every few days, but how long is it safe to tolerate a new vista laptop run between shutdowns? Is the "sleep" mode impossible to tell apart as shutting down? I'm all confused, any oblige would be awesome! ^^

Answer:
turning off a computer is different from reboot, if you reboot your computer, more credible you re-start your computer... rebooting your computer more likely help computer in information error and hang-up, just reboot your computer once a time.
don't use sleep mode. as long as you have freestyle power it's ok
even i've got a vista business VAIO
thers no prob surrounded by just hibernate it as it is almost the same as shut down.
You can hibernate it for 3 - 4 days at a time, but after that it get a little slow. I rescue evereything and shut my laptop down every day because it runs faster that road.
