How can i see the disabled IDE minor boot device on my laptop. i plan to "wipe clean" my complicated disk

my laptop boots massively slowly. I reckon if i reinstall the OS, it will restore the system to it original speed. however, my CD-rom drive is disabled. How can i see this secondary boot drive.

hey this u can do this via BIOS setup.. if u share ur brand of the laptop means i will telll.. mostly by pressing DEL switch while system bootin(before the os started) will run the BIOS setup.. in that convert the order of boot up or boot up sequence...
