IBM laptop S-Video?

Can I study a DVD on a Tv by hooking up my Laptop to the Tv by an S-Video? I have a IBM Thinkpad T-30 Laptop and it have a S-Video port in the Back...How Do I hook it up to the TV? and do I want to Configure the port on the computer?..if so where...pass me details on it...Or do I need to install a Drive for?...
