MacBooks a short time ago got upgraded. You can other upgrade to Leopard when it is released.
Being a Windows dude, I have to move about with experience and articulate that like Windows or Vista or surrounded by your case Tiger/Leopard. Depending on what your working on, the risk you are feeling like to take and obviously your patience smooth, use these factors to serve you decide. Everytime a topical operating sytem comes out there are usually flaws that are identified and patch sent out, so use what is important to you within making your decision.

Wait for Leopard. First, you won't have to buy the OS when it comes out and, Second, they will probably hold somewhat better hardware for the same prices.

The only ones they right to be heard to buy right now are the MacBooks and the Mac Pros (but not the macbook pros)
Running the OSX 10.5 upgrade shouldn't be a huge headache and waiting 6 months to draw from a Mac is a lot of time you could better spend study the ins and outs.
