A Laptop or a Desktop?

I plan on spending around $1,000 on any a laptop or a desktop. I was wondering if I'd procure a better deal by getting a laptop or a desktop. I'm guessing a desktop would be a better choice because you're pretty much paying more for the portability and the size when you buy a laptop. Any abet would be appreciated.

Answer:
i would prefer a laptop. with 1000 you can buy a tremendously decent laptop that works purely like a desktop. desktops arent as stylish anyways. and desktops hold up a lot of room.
unless you do profusely of traveling, buy a desktop.
Depends what you want the computer for. Usually a desktop you will be able to bring more performance for a lower price since you do not enjoy to focus on portability, battery natural life, etc.
laptops are not expensive anymore. you can buy a good one for smaller quantity than $600. Shop around ebay for a new near warranty laptop. No one should be buying anymore desktop.
I have a toshiba laptop and its great! If you primarily don't travel much then buy a desktop..but buy a laptop if you close to the idea of working anywhere surrounded by your home and travelling with it approaching I do.
A laptop
definitely
and you necessitate to get a portable card thingy from walmart or something so you wont hold to carry around a cord adjectives day and so you can use it anytime
Well, if you travel closely, it is best to get a laptop. But, if you do not travel much, win a desktop.
I prefer laptops because I like commodity, I don't hold to deal beside all those cable.
That's why I bought me an HP with integrated webcam and mic, I can use it on the sofa recliner, or within my bed.
The battery single gives me 2 hours but I don't mind exact plug it on the wall most of time, and I have a 2 surrounded by 1 modem-router

But if you don't mind all those desktops cable headache get one, they other will give you a better conduct
You're better off getting a laptop because it's portable, unlike a desktop.
