How economically does the Mac notebook complete?

If your doing medium design, photography, film, network design than you can't go long-gone a mac. I have used both mac & pc's. I have my own doubts when I switched from Windows last summer, but those doubts be quickly absolve once I started using my MacBook. Macs are great for video editing/photo retouching/web design but PC's are as good, (now that they adjectives run the same software).
Macs are woeful at games or any hobby design applications, they suck at rendering in 3D. Macs cannot use Directx so games own to be released for openGL in a "mac" magazine (usually several months after the PC/console version).
Also apple's web broswer is a big diappointment but you can replace it wth mozilla firefox.
