To adjectives Dell Inspiron 6000 users, please direction me on how to switch ON my laptop from its Standby Mode.?

As you may adjectives have experienced, Dell Inspiron 6000 have this problem of not recovering from its standby mode. Even if you switch it ON using the ON button, power will resume a little bit but it will switch sour after 10 seconds. My first cross-examine is how to switch it ON? Is there a trick or something? My second query is how to get rid of this problem for always? I have an expired warranty and i hold called Dell twice to enjoy them solve the problem and was asked to hang about for several minutes until i got bored. I hold also read the recommendations of othr Dell users contained by the Dell blog, but it seems that they are discussing solely how to get rid of the problem forever. As you may see, my initial interest is how to bring power to my laptop first and foremost. Then you we can proceed to discuss how to get rid of it for always. Please be informed that it is not a battery or power adaptor problem. I will appreciate any assistance.

Answer:
A lot of times, you hold to hold the power button down for a few seconds to turn bad pc's, paticularly Dells. I don't know how their laptops are. You could try this since it would power off the computer completely and afterwards you could start it up again and it wouldn't be in sleep mode anymore. Hold it until it powers sour, shouldn't be more than 5 or 6 seconds. Then I believe Dell sometimes have a hibernate mode within the BIOS or SETUP. That is the software previously you get to Windows that runs formerly Windows runs. You can get into it by hitting F1, sometimes other things, usually it tell you at the bottom of the screen upon bootup. If it isn't F1, try others, F2, F3, etc. Once within, this is where you may requirement to disable it. But it could be through the power settings within window.
push the button ...
i'm using one now and i hold the same problem
i lately stopped using it
i will watch for answer
sorry colndn't abet
What? C'mon, try things, like the power button for starters, afterwards maybe try holding the button? Experiment, not much would surface to the computer itself, nothing out of the widespread for Windows, anyways.
try this trick: push the power button, press enter several times and do some random moves near the touchpad.

If it does not work, get the most recent drivers from www.dell.com and run the Ccleaner registry cleanup.

This happened when i have some demanding programs running. I updated the drivers and cleaned up windows registry, problem seem solved so far.
