im trying to burn a dvd but it keep telling me to insert blank dvd it will burn a cd ok the dvd im putting contained by are blank and is a minus what my drive takes. can anyone give a hand?

First- check of u can burn dvd on ur Laptop.
second - if yes later make sure it is dvd u trying to burn not a cd.
My best guess would be that you individual have a CD-RW and not a combo DVD-RW, drive. To find out click start, my computer, look at your cd drive and see what it say.
Um the best answer is because you don't have a compact disc burner
